I talked to John's ICU nurse from overnight, and she described his night as pretty uneventful, which is good at this point. He did get some rest, but she wasn't sure how much sleep. His oxygen saturation levels were good, and his bloodwork was pretty good. I guess I'll find out what that means later after the doctors have a plan for the day.
Thanks again!

Hi Missy - you probably don't even know who I am, but I just wanted you to know how much we are all praying for John - Pastor Doug emails out regular updates, and a cheer went up at worship service when he told us that a heart had been found. You have no idea how many people are praying for you both, and I feel that with each small victory, our prayers are being heard and answered. I have gotten hooked on your blog and find myself checking it regularly now to see how John is doing. Thank you for the updates - you have such a positive and hopeful attitude that you are truly an inspiration to me. I hope that if I am ever in such a stressful situation, that I will remember your calm grace and faith in the face of adversity... Take care of yourself so that you can take care of John when he moves out of the ICU - tell him we miss seeing his smiling face running around town and hope to see him back soon!
